Caddix Football Cleat - Mid

Purchased these for our son, who plays lacrosse. After 2 ACL injuries, these cleats bring peace of mind. He can tell a big difference when he cuts/makes quick directional changes. Brilliant idea. We did go up a half size from his New Balance cleats (NB are 11, these 11.5) noting that he wears a half size bigger in cleats than his “street shoes”, so these are a full size bigger than his regular size. He has only worn them on turf so far, we won’t see a grass field for a while so we don’t know how these perform on grass .The one issue is that they are taking a long time to break in. A week later and he hasn’t made it through a full practice without having to put his old ones on. The time he can make it before putting the old cleats on is stretching out and I think they’ll be fine by next week, but definitely plan on a long break-in period.

Only reason I didn’t give these 5 stars is because I feel they could use a little more ankle support. Great cleats overall, very happy.

The most comfortable cleat on the market. They require no break in time. Customer Service is 100% the best in the industry!

Having a tough time breaking them in. Blisters on the heels.

A PT friend of mine said said non contact ACL tears are at “epidemic” levels. If these shoes even reduce the risk by a few percentage points, it’s worth it in my book. Got these for my son for Lacrosse. Lots of games are on turf so I feel a little better knowing these will help keep him safer.
